As part of celebrating Pride Month, and Asian Art Museum acquiring the largest collection of Bernice Bing's artwork prior to Into View: Bernice Bing, Madeline Lim, the filmmaker for The Worlds of Bernice Bing, and myself discussed the film and Bing's work. Lim‘s films shine a light on belonging and community as Asian Americans continue their fight for equity, safety, respect, and the right to be fully American.

This poignant documentary is a lush tribute to Bernice Bing, a San Francisco icon and little–known foremother of Asian American avant-garde art.
